Tango Taco is a great example of one of the fine local restaurants that most tourists to Playa never get to experience. Owned and operated by native Argentinians, the restaurant serves affordable and delicious cuts of Argentinian meat as well as traditional Mexican dishes.
The grilled steaks are among the best you'll find anywhere in the world (in our opinion, better than even the superb cuts served at Gibson's in Chicago or Daniel's Broiler in Seattle) and at an average $10-20 per entree, far less expensive. You can also order various tapas, fajitas, crepes, baked potatoes, and more. We highly recommend the ham and cheese empanadas, but you must get there early as they often sell out.
Tango Taco provides simple casual dining at outside tables. The service is a bit on the slow side, but this can be expected pretty much everywhere in Playa and it's more than made up for by the unbelievably low prices (a full 1-lb steak costs as little as $11 US!). Make sure you're hungry when you come, as you won't want to miss out on a single bite here at one of the best restaurants in the city. There's no way you'll walk away from Tango Taco unsatisfied.

Reader Reviews
I went here recently based on the above review. We had amazing steaks, both the t-bone and the filet were top rate. The food was far better than any we had on 5th during our stay, and the price was comparable (actually, a little cheaper) than what we paid for lunch on the main strip.
Thanks for this site, I've already told my friends!
